Elsa Murray-Lafrenz
Founder of Elsa Madeline Design

Having grown up in a family of artists, Elsa is predisposed to nurturing beauty and creating meaning through the exploration of form, color, and texture. Her education at Rhode Island School of Design, where she earned her BFA in illustration, followed by her professional experiences in making hand-painted wallpaper, leading color product design, illustrating children's books, and teaching High School art classes, further inform her ever-evolving voice as an artist.

Working as a project manager for Jasmine Rae Cakes in 2016 introduced Elsa to the wedding industry. The following year, she took on a handful of custom, wedding stationery clients which organically led to the formation of Elsa Madeline Design.

Elsa lives in San Francisco down the street from where she grew up, with her husband, Spencer, and her six year old daughter, Ivy.
