Whether from up high or up close, Andrew Gemmell is a man with a different perspective. We’ve all heard stories of those lucky people who find their passion early and
are able to turn it in to their career. Despite having to “do” time as a broker in the City after graduating from Durham University, Andrew realized that the video camera his mother gave him in University actually held the secret to his calling.

Passionate about the stories that could be told through film and how moments could be truly captured by a camera, he started what is now a fascinating and colourful career as a videographer.

With a calm, perceptive and confident sensibility coupled with a discreet, personal touch, Andrew quickly became the go-to guy for the celebrity-set. He has captured over 3000 events in 25 years on all continents for the likes of
Claudia Schiffer, Piers Brosnan, Rod Stewart, Gary Player, Elvis Costello and Elton John to name a few. He has filmed 4 British Royal weddings including Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.

Andrew is well aware that these events happen only once. As he says, “One day, one chance, one take. We have to be ready – there is no second chance.”

His experienced team captures the day from every angle, using the highest levels of production, discreetly and without disruption, to create a film that tells a well-crafted story – which becomes an evocative and emotional story that lasts forever.

While Andrew has also produced series for Channel 4, documentaries for Sky, VH1 and other broadcasters, it is his desire to capture “legacies one frame at a time” which fuels his passion.

“There are so many things that we may only do once in our lifetime, get married, turn 50, build a home or a business, create an extraordinary property, or celebrate a 21 st . I love telling these stories, through moving images, about once-in-lifetime moments – allowing them to be shared and lived over and over for generations to come,” says Andrew.
